Phys Ed: Urban Development Discussion Series

This event series started as a discussion in Portland, a neighborhood in west Louisville. We brought together people from across the world of placemaking. Developers, architects, city planners, and a landscape architect joined together to talk about activating neighborhoods and bringing people together. The discussion was not just engaging, it was heated. This is a personal subject.

We designed the event around the idea of physical education, understand your space and your place in it. The look is radical and fun – it makes you look twice and think, “Maybe this isn’t just another boring panel talk.” Now the event is a series, and it takes place whenever the people who care about it want to put it on, most recently in Woodford County, Kentucky, where an agricultural community is redefining itself.
