Rock House Brewing

It’s the old story. Beer nerds meet. Bond over beer. Decide to make beer together. The beer’s so good, they want to sell it. The folks at Rock House Brewing came to us with a passion for their product and a genuine desire to make a unique gathering place. And an unusual home. Rock House Brewing is located in the former Lexington Quarry Co.’s headquarters. That’s right – their building is made out of rocks. The place is cool. The beer is good. But taking on a new craft brewery in a somewhat cluttered environment demanded a stand-out identity to stand up to their stand-out product. We stepped up to the challenge. And drank a few beers along the way.

Their identity marries their goals of experimentation and community-building. Upon first reading, the mark is their initials with an unusually angular type treatment. Upon the second, the mark evokes the image of pulling up a chair to a bar. Paired with vibrant, psychedelic backgrounds, the graphic potential of this identity is completely unlike anything else in the Lexington craft beer scene. Unlike anything else in the craft beer scene at all.
