Pomegranate: Home Goods and Women’s Clothing
Pomegranate is a quintessentially unique brand, from conception to creation. Their textiles are primarily drawn from the doodles and designs of the owner, Angela Beck, whose idiosyncratic, charming hand shapes the look and feel of each piece. From there, the designs are sent to Jaipur, India, where a group of local women ink and print the linens in a method dating back to the 1200’s. These are handicrafts in every sense of the word. And they’re handcrafts that bring women together across a global economy, connecting the women of Jaipur to the women who run Pomegranate’s headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky.
Inspired by Pomegranate’s origins, we created a mark that takes a hand-drawn, abstracted “P” and stamps it in a regular tiled pattern. The Pomegranate visual identity evokes its textiles, both in their physical form and in their use in people’s lives. It’s premised on the idea that these goods are to be cherished, passed down, and loved. That these items make sharing special moments with people easy. And that living well means living simply.
