Frontier Highway: Real Estate Development

An Identity for Frontier Highway By Bullhorn Creative

In 1835, the Maysville Turnpike Company built what was then known as the Frontier Highway. Those in Lexington, Ky know it now as North Limestone Street. This road transformed, connecting the mid-Atlantic to Kentucky, pulling together rural and urban populations in an interplay of technology, economic, and law. Now, the name has been resurrected for Lexington’s newest, weirdest, and most intrepid real estate development company. Frontier Highway was founded on the principle that a strong neighborhood starts with devotion to its people. They’re interested in neighborhoods, not individual properties. Building up a community in a kind of constellation. We set out to make that shine through in their brand.

Their mark is born of that constellation. It’s composed of cross-streets, connections – an aerial view that reveals a neighborhood’s backbone, what holds its people together. And it grows in a repeating block out, in bright, lively colors. Encapsulated and intensified by a new mark, Frontier Highway’s character – and it absolutely has character – is changing the game and setting the tone for a revolutionary kind of development in Lexington.
